Some may marry to help out a friend. Many immigrants these days marry to gain their citizenship. In this case this friend may like to see him/her live a better life here in America. They may not be truly in love at that exact moment of the marriage but the love is there just as friends. With time they may start to develop feelings, a sort of different kind of love. Others may be forced to marry without even knowing anything about that significant other. There are people who practice this as part of their religion where the children's parents, choose the person whom they will be married to for the rest of their lives. In this situation they are being forced to be married sometimes even without the love for one another. They marry not because of the love they have for each other but for the love of their "god". Love does exist in marriage though it may not be the same love everyone refers to.
I agree with most of your blog, but what if the couple that got married for the immigrant reason, don't develop a love between each other?

DeleteNice blog, but the first paragraph seems to be repeating itself but in different ways. And isn't still considered love if you marry someone for the immigrant reason, because you love them enough to marry them, so they can stay?
